Chief Executive Mom Isabel Kallman Shares Insights About the Lucrative Alpha Mom Market
Co-host Brad Forsythe interviews Isabel Kallman, Founder and CEO of Alpha Mom. Prior to founding Alpha Mom, Isabel served as a top-level institutional equity salesperson to major US mutual funds, advising their portfolio managers on European equity investments for Salomon Smith Barney. Isabel received her BA degree from Columbia University in 1993. Upon graduation, she was recruited into the investment banking division of Salomon Brothers where she performed financial analyses of Latin American companies, conducted due diligence and prepared offering circulars for their fund-raising efforts. During her 10 years on Wall Street, she also worked on dozens of IPOs and equity offerings for leading blue-chip companies in Latin America and Europe. Isabel retired from a Senior Vice President-level position in 2003 to raise her infant son. In the course of researching every imaginable topic on mommyhood, she was inspired to launch Alpha Mom. Isabel has led Alpha Mom to quickly establish itself as one of the most recognizable parenting and video-on-demand brands. Isabel and Alpha Mom have received significant national and local media attention, including but not limited to The Today Show, Good Morning America, The CBS Early Show, and USA Today.
